Do you do events/weddings/engagement/portrait sessions? While these aren't exactly my areas of specialty, if you're interested and are in the Memphis area, I'd love to chat with you about it. Feel free to shoot me an e-mail.
Do you sell prints? If there is a photograph you might be interested in I can probably have that printed up for you. I use a professional laboratory for all my printing that uses Kodak Endrura professional papers in a variety of sizes and finishes and usually ships very quickly. I participate in a few local art shows every year and have recently started selling prints at those as well.
What kind of camera do you use? The cameras I love and use the most are: a medium format 120 film Holga; another 120 Holga that I modified to use 35mm film; a Diana Mini (square format 35mm); a Fuji Instax 210; a Holga 135 pinhole camera; a Lomo Fisheye #2 and a Nikon D-200 DSLR.

Hi, my name is Kandi Champagne Cook and yes, that's my real name. I started this website in January of 2003 as a place to share my art and journey as a photographer with you (hence the original title: "prelude to a dream"). Since I began, my work has been printed in local newspapers, international music and art magazines, included in a handful of shows around the US, is on display as part of a permanent art installation at the Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis and has been on display in the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. Nowadays I freelance in various areas concentrating in documentary and rock photography. I am living my dream.
I was born and raised in southern Louisiana and now live happily in Memphis, TN (they have good catfish up here, too). I'm married to my best friend who has been so supportive of all my crazy projects, camera and film addictions and who has always encouraged me to work hard at what I do and to put myself out there. In my free time I love to cook, knit and crochet, draw, paint, make stuff, go camping, read and play with my dog, Rocket. I have a blog called superkantastic.
