  • I’ve been making art and photography my entire life. I got my first camera in 1993 and haven’t put one down since.

    I work on the web development team at a full-service advertising agency. There I mostly do left-brained, algebraic tasks and other internet-y stuff.

    In my free time I enjoy working on a vast array of personal and collaborative projects. In the last few years I have started to shift my focus more on making art and developing my personal art style. Right now I am fond of mixed media but have also been enjoying sketching on location, painting and illustration.

    Other ways I like to spend my time include but are not limited to: cooking, reading, traveling with my husband of 20+ years, birdwatching, exploring almost every category of fiber art, learning new things and going on adventures. I find working with my hands extremely rewarding. I’m a tinkerer at heart; I love putting things together and coming up with unconventional solutions. I love to make things (i.e. 200+ paper flowers for a party). I can never make just one of anything.

    I tend to have a lot of creative energy the majority of the time, and I make it a point to do at least one creative thing every single day.

    I was a freelance photographer for about twenty years. While I still enjoy photography a great deal, I am now pursuing it for personal enrichment only. I shoot digitally and on film with a predilection for toy cameras, lomography, and polaroids. I have my film developed at a local processing lab and do my own scanning at home.
